Sir, this is on behalf of my group of Shaun, Beng Hong and Hamka. This question is pertaining to the MCQ question 10 about the bond angles in Chemical Bonding Unit in the Physical Chemistry Revision Package. How do we do the question and what exactly is the proper structure for NO2.
For the MCQ question 3 what is the exact reason option B, that boron nitride is not transparent when pure is wrong?
Then for Section B of the same unit, Chemical Bonding, how do we explain which structure is more likely. Is it because oxygen is more electronegative and more likely to accept electrons than to donate in dative bonding?
Also, for the last question 11 again for the same topic, how do we explain for 11ai), about why sulphur is soluble in carbon disulphide.
These questions are pertaining to the unit, Chemical energetics for the same revision package. The questions are 5dii) and iii) in Section B. For iii), is the answer enthalpy change of combustion of carbon?
For the same unit and section, how do we answer part ii) especially since the average bond energy that is calculated is the same as in the data booklet?
Also, for 15aiv) is it possible to use Gibb's free energy and lower entropy to explain. Otherwise what could be the possible reason?
Last of all, this question is pertaining to SET B of the other revision booklet. How do we answer the whole of question 5? As a side-note, is there some sort of error with the a), where the question asks for the identity of J when it seems to be given?
